Sparkler is a text-message gift assistant made by Hideaway Labs. This page explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

Your phone number, the messages you send us (including photos, like party invites), and the details you share about the kids in your life: names, birthdays, interests and notes. If a parent fills in one of your Sparkler links, we save what they enter. We also log which gift links are opened.

How we use it

Only to run Sparkler: remembering birthdays, sending reminders, and finding gift ideas. Message content is processed by AI providers (Google Gemini) to understand your texts and suggest gifts, and gift searches go to our product catalog provider (Channel3). Texts are sent through Twilio.

Your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Shopping links

When you tap a gift, you go to the retailer's site. We may earn a commission; the retailer's own privacy policy applies there.

Deleting your data

Text STOP to stop all messages. To delete everything, text DELETE MY DATA or email sparkler@hideawaylabs.io and we'll remove it within 30 days.

Kids

Sparkler is for adults. We don't collect information from children; we only store what adults tell us about them, to pick gifts.
